Die Schönheit und Einzigartigkeit dieser Landschaft bot die Chance einen naturorientierten und sanften Tourismus im Einklang mit den Grundsätzen der UNESCO zu entwickeln.
Der Entwurf enthält unter anderem eine Hafenpromenade mit Stegen und Pfahlbauten, eine Ferienhaussiedlung, einen Hafenrundweg mit Fitness-Stationen und die Neugestaltung und zusätzliche Nutzung des Sperrwerks als „Tor zur Wattwelt“ (Bistro, Aussichtsturm mit Fahrstuhl, windgeschützter Lounge-Bereich auf dem Dach des Siels, Infopoint, Skulptur-Kunstwerk).
The beauty and uniqueness of this landscape offered the opportunity to develop a nature-oriented and gentle tourism in accordance with the principles of UNESCO.
The design includes, among other things, a harbor promenade with footbridges and pile dwellings, a holiday home settlement, a harbor walkway with fitness stations and the redesign and additional use of the barrage as a gateway to the "Wattwelt (Bistro, view tower with elevator, wind-protected lounge area on the roof of the sieve, infopoint, sculpture-art work).
